Over on the IGMB I've agreed to make an alien mercenary codex for Rolling Thunder's Tempest sci-fi skirmish rules. I love the skink models and think it'll be quite funky to have them in the 40k setting as well, so I thought up a basic list for a highly technological lizardman race (the Narthad), and have decided to locate them somewhere close to the Tau Empire.
That's where you guys come in - post ideas about what you want to see in a Narthad codex list. Unit ideas, fluff/ background ideas. Ideas already added are : hunter alien elites (like the alien in the Predator series of films), saurus sized elite shock troops, small and large grav vehicles, possibly stegadons, but I'm not sold on that route, yet,, psychic skink leaders and possibly a Slann special character. They currently have peaceful relations with the Tau, due to the threat of humanity and so maintain a tense alliance with them, but the situation could change, given the volatility of the history of Tau and Narthad past confrontations. The Tau always seek to make amends for past transgressions, but the Narthad's psyker masters have unusually long memories.
The basic skink/ narthad warriors will be armed with electro-sluggers, and hopefully I'll try to keep stats similar to the fantasy skinks. Any ideas, please comment away.. Also please give SC ideas..

Apart from raising undead zombies as a psychic power, I've decided to modify Bob Olley's 'psychic scrunt flying saucers' for use by my lizards.. They are on this page: www.olleysarmies.co.uk/machines.html

Hopefully a simple headswap will be enough to persuade people that it's a lizardman pilot and not a mutant, psychic squat..
I think I'll keep the claw arms ;D

Today I ordered 9 flying saucers and bought some plastic bowls, from the supermaket, to make bigger gunship/ transport flying saucers.

There were flying saucers on Dynasty the other day. Blake Carrington's daughter, Fallon (probably Season 9, or something), was briefly abducted by aliens in a flying saucer. Her husband Jeff thought she was missing and found her somewhere nearby, unconscious; her car abandonned. Since she has talked to him about it several times and he thinks she's a freakin' nutcase. She's joined like this Alien Abductions anonymous group and he went with her (today's episode), only when questioned about whether his daughter had ever complained of bad dreams, he freaked out on them all and walked out, but his wife stayed behind. (Join me tomorrow for the next episode of alien abductions of the rich and famous.. )
