So what sort of shenanigans have any of you got up to in a role playing game (any system, sci-fi or fantasy)?
The last one I played was using AD&D 2nd edition, probably 2 years ago, in the DarK Sun campaign setting.
Anyway my Mul thief (who is stronger and a lot harder than the other fighters in the group) rescued his concubine from a burning argosy (super heavy caravan), by climbing the walls (with his bare hands) and carrying her out.
Then we were stuck in the desert and had to drink the water out of a dead krodlu's stomach to stop us dying from dehydration in the roasting Athasian sun.
So, what RPGs do you play? Your favourite class / career path?

My local circle doesn't really play D&D anymore, mostly because we've found better systems.
The only game that really stands out in my memory right now was one set in the GM's custom space opera setting (we were using a modified version of White Wolf's first (and best) World of Darkness system). Our crew was so dysfunctional it wasn't even funny. Our captain was insane, our mechanic was plotting to betray us all, our doctor was running a whole bunch of genetics experiments, our pilot was unmemorable (but also insane), the captain's psychic daughter kept getting us all in trouble and I was playing a terrorist from a backwater planet with a bone to pick with the government (likewise insane).
There was one time where, in an attempt to rescue Maja (the psychic brat) from the feds, things went way south. Alarms and heavily armored guards were everywhere, we'd gone through most of our ammunition just getting to her, and (although we didn't know it yet) our ship had been locked down and boarded. So I, being the taciturn mad bomber I was, rigged a few bombs (and a few fake ones) and cleared them a path to the ship while they got out with Maja (I didn't expect to survive, so I didn't bother with an escape plan). After that, it became a game of hide-and-seek with the guards, drawing them away from the rest of the crew and blowing up a bunch of important-looking machinery along the way.
Eventually, through sheer force of numbers, they managed to corner me in one of the prison watchtowers, with a 2-mile drop down a canyon below my feet. So, I pulled out my last bomb (my best, although it wouldn't have worked against anything but infantry) and flipped the deadman's switch. However, the crew took this moment to try to rescue me (after they had cleared out our ship and gotten it to take off), and blew all the windows away in the watchtower (and punched a few holes in the walls) with the main gun. Being the resourceful bastard I was, I jumped off the tower, throwing my bomb behind me as I fell. The watchtower exploded, and the pilot had to pull some crazy maneuvering to catch me before I hit the ground, but we made it out all right in the end.

I haven't played a role-play in years... But I do have a good memorable moment.
I was playing D&D with a bunch of guys, and because we were lazy we created a bunch of cliché classes, you know things like dwarf warrior, elven Mage. Anyway, we were clearing out this dungeon chamber which was virtually empty... Except for a Bo on a pedestal in the middle and the group of goblins. All these goblins are plenty far away across te chamber out of reach. Our only ranged capabilities were held by our theif's throwing daggers, and our Mage who couldn't walk because of acid burns on her legs.
We (I was a dwarf warrior) ran across the room being bombarded with all sorts of projectiles. The humans outran me of course and engaged in hand to hand with them. By now I'm lagging quite far behind, and as I am getting to the first corpse the fastest human was engaging the last goblin. He has this goblin with it's back against the wall, and finally decapitates it. However, his sword gets stuck in the wall. Nobody else is paying attention to him except me, because I was going to rage at him if he broke such a finely crafted sword. Just as he about to get it out, a random goblin steps out of the shadows next to him. Nobody is close enough to help. He hasn't even noticed, he is that concentrated on pulling this sword out from the wall, so understandably he freaks when the goblin is impaled onto the wall.
That was me. I had picked a javelin up from the corpse I was standing near and thrown it perfectly (20 on the d20), impaling the proper last goblin onto the wall.
After that we scoured the room for any more surprises, stole the boots of speed from the box (I got them ;D ) and left.

Great stories. Dwarves are a favourite of mine. In fact muls are half dwarf, half human and totally hairless. Yeah. Dwarves on Athas are hairless..

The watchtower exploded, and the pilot had to pull some crazy maneuvering to catch me before I hit the ground, but we made it out all right in the end. That story sounds so unbelievable it sounds like you made it up. Some parts of this sound heavily influenced by firefly. As far as rpg's go i haven't really played any board game ones or even roleplay ones. I've probably only played computer games and video game rpg's. Nothing too memorable sticks out in my mind either except that time a sun blew up behind me and i escaped its explosion while looking away with shades and smoking a lit cigar, "YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Ok that never really happened. Btw my favorite class in a game is the thief. Ok i actually had one game of D&D: dragon strike. We made it out of the floor alive but only just barely. That dragon is a freakin beast in comparison to everything else. I was the thief with boots of speed (i thought only thiefs could use them). We did a bunch of killing but early on my team kept rolling so poorly and screwing up that i just got sick of it and ran off to do some exploring. I eventually had the largest movement speed with the boots anyway (movement 9). I killed a bugbear wearing them to get them. Kind of annoyed it ran away in the first place. Now that i think about it i became the person picking up loot and distributing it to the rest of the party with my fast movement speed. Really when you think about it i was integral to get everybody with the right equipment at the right time. I suppose that makes me the errand boy. We got way too much equipment for fighters and the dwarf warrior in that game. I got nearly jack esp. since i think one item was for hiding in bushes when we were in a castle. So really all game i was just running around and using backstabs to auto hit people. I think i tried using the grappling hook once because that sounded bad ass but i can't remember. We managed to all get out of the level in one piece but only just barely. Our last guy had a dragon in between himself and the exit and he by god managed to roll a good enough dexterity to dodge past him to the exit. I know it doesn't sound heroic but for god's sake you try fighting that dragon. As a final thing to tell you i think i was the female thief in that game just for hilarity. Oh and wizards are fucking OP.
