I am getting that battleforce... That's like half my pay gone but sooooooo worth it...

Well you get maybe a couple of reavers free but at least there is a battleforce now.

Yeah, it looks like any one kit in the battleforce comes free. I will definitely consider getting my grubby, avarice-fueled hands on one.
Still, it will take quite a bit of work to convince me that any currently available battleforce is better than the Imperial Guard's. That set is a playable force in its own right.

That is true... but still, that battleforce is pretty good...

Well it gives you a general broad range to start your collection, but I couldn't see myself buying multiples of it. If I were doing DE I'd get loads of Kabalites, raiders and probably the odd razorwing for air support. Reavers maybe, but only a small pack or two, but they don't fit too well into the kabalite fluff, except as mercenary blades for hire.

I mainly want the wyches so I can improve on my painting with them... Reavers are cool in my book, but I see them as nothing more than a very speedy distraction ;D

The good thing is the kit bashing perspective. Swapping bitz around. Has anyone considered making Dark Eldar out of Dark Elf Corsairs, from Fantasy? That would be a great combination.

I have been tempted to give all my Warriors Corsair cloaks...

I have been tempted to give all my Warriors Corsair cloaks... DO IT ;D

However, I might just do that for my Trueborn, since I intend to eventually modernize my Dark Eldar force.

Then you can distinguish the trueborn from the bog standard ones?

I suppose if you're using the old DE with the new, you could say that the new ones are trueborn, just to distinguish them.
But the cloak idea is better. Bitz services : do it, before GW shuts them down..

Niiiice. The wracks aren't really that much of a bad deal. About £4 each.. that's OK, but I wouldn't want to make a whole army of them. Like the new forge world chaos dwarf stuff; brilliant but pricey.
Are you getting any of the new wave(s) stuff?

I'm getting my hands on some scourges, and maybe the wracks to practice painting...

The wrack will be a bit of a challenge with all those belts and piercings and weird mutant bitz protruding out of them. Sticking to the same purple colour?
The scourges look like excellent models. The only thing I'm thinking about is that I prefer uniformity with the types of wing. Solution = bitz services, although it'll be an expensive and time consuming process.

Bat wing = bleh
Feathered wing = AWESOME!

I suppose if you get enough you could have a bat squad and a feathers squad. Although you may tend to say "Holy batsquad, Batman!" a lot.
And it depends if you really want that many scourges in your army..

The more I look at the venom, the more I think it looks great. Personally I wouldn't use the hanger-on models, but keep them for dioramas or interesting infantry conversions.

They don't really suit the venom... But that would be a cool raider crew conversion...

The hangers on would just rock if posed as if they're doing a bit of a ballet dance, or something. :/
