Why the lack of 'nid love these days?
We had Space Hulk a year ago, the Nid codex early THIS year, but then I suppose Dark Eldar / Guard / Marines are just the primary love of many hobbyists.
But why the lack of love for 'nids?
They are pretty funky. 'Stealers and Carnifexes are fun, aren't they?
Your thoughts?
Why do you love or hate the 'nids?

Careful what you wish for with a title like that. I don't know how nids make love but something tells me eating the other is involved. What i mean by that is up for speculation by anybody and everybody.

Expensive money-wise or points-cost-wise, though?

And now you know why i hate marines so much. Hell now you know why so many 40k players hate marines. The amount of marine players is part of the reason why i went to fantasy even.

Marine hate is over-rated...

Marine hate is over-rated... Exactly. Because everyone plays marines, so if you hate muhreens you hate everyone.. I have 2000 points of Brazen Lizards (Salamander successors - codex marines) & 2000 points of Angels Amethyst (BA successors - codex BA) ; the unluckiest chapter ever. I had 5 jump pack ass marines die to 5 tallarn rough riders.. wipeout...

I just hate how everybody is like murheens are so cool lol!!!!!111 I've asked friends which army looked cool to them in 40k and usually they say space marines. I don't know if it hadn't been for dawn of war: winter assault and figuring that i really enjoyed the guard i never would've played them in tabletop form. I felt like i should've liked marines more somehow but i didn't. Too bad they don't have any cooler armies in the imperial guard on the tabletop. Sure vostroyans are awesome but a somewhat futuristic anti-grav pack army with the elysian drop troops or something would be preferable. It'd give it a near future sci-fi feel to the army.

No reason you can't use Tau counts as, but with humans. You could even make a legendary Orrus Flyer style skimmer from a shampoo bottle.
Marines are 11111. Just look at the flying Storm Brick.
