I honestly never get why people use grenade launchers. I suppose i should've just given flamers to my guard squads when i used to run them though. Funny thing is i don't even bother giving my commander power weapons unless i take straken. For his price of only 45 extra points he's a real bargain. It's like 5 str 7 power weapon attacks on the charge. He's such a bad ass. Most of this list losts pretty solid but i don't know why you'd take 2 techpriests. Just seems like a waste of points to me. If it was my choice i'd almost always prefer a banewolf over a hellhound esp. since you can move 12" and fire defensive weapons. Your heavy anti-tank seems focused on two units (lascannon squad and manticore). If one of those is destroyed or both then you're pretty much shit out of luck with taking down landraiders. It should be fine though. Just put the manticore behind some cover and you should be ok.

The LRBT has a lascannon and a HKM, the Hellhound has a HKM as well. And the hydra flak can take the odd vendetta down, hopefully..
The Banewolf will be less useful in guard vs guard. It's ace for killing smurfs, though so I'm considering it. Plus I can always make the hull weapon a heavy flamer.
Edit : also I like techpriests and hate getting 'weapon destroyed' results..

There's always the chance they'll just outright destroy the vehicles though. That's usually much worse and usually techpriests aren't where you want them unless they're butt-fucking the same vehicle all game instead of moving around to other immobilized vehicles and maybe healing damage if you're lucky. It just feels like a waste of points esp. if the vehicles just explode and take out some guys.
I bought a techpriest but i use an odd build with him. I take a techpriest, an normal priest and then a bunch of servitors and start engaging people in melee. It's pretty funny actually. The techpriest has power weapon attacks and a servo arm attack (str 8 power fist), the servitors have normal attacks and 1 serv arm attack each and the priest allowing re-rolls on the charge plus all his eviscerator attacks (power fist str 6). It's a hilarious combo and nobody sees it coming. It can't deal with too much firepower but you can sneak it up on an unwary crisis team the deepstrike near your tanks and destroy them with a far superior unit that can instant kill them.

That's a good idea. I won't take the priest, but I'll take 3 servitors instead of a techie.
That way he gets a 2+ roll to a vehicle if all 4 of them are right behind it, like you were describing.
The question is - which vehicle should this squad protect? The LRBT?

It depends who you're facing. If it's a MEQ army i'd say the leman russ. If dark eldar or open topped heavy army are being faced protect the hydra. Finally if it's hordes of GEQ like ork mobs or mass nids (like that's even an effective nid list) then go for the manticore. The hellhound is really too up in your face to protect well i think.
