Is one of the core (?) choices going to be screaming fan mob?

So.. wait. This is about a heavy metal band, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
Anyway somewhere inbetween warriors of chaos and VC sounds very horror movie-esque.

Yes they are a heavy metal band, but they have fluff written into their songs, so it's possible. If you don't believe me here's a link to their basic (false) background (please not that this hasn't beeen updated in around 6 years and recently they have commandeered a space fleet and begun the zombie apocalypse): www.gwar.net/mythosNow for walrus, the book will start out with there background and how they got stuck on the warhammer world, then I will go on with the Lords (the band members) then heros (manager, ultimate fan and a leuitenant), followed by core (posted above), special units (still in development but will probably knights and other elite infantry) then Special Units ( a cople of monstrous creatures and maybe a cavalry unit) then thats about it. The PDF will be loaded with art and extra fluff for each unit.

I found this bit amusing :
"The first thing we did was have sex with the local animal population, thereby creating the human race. These loathsome creatures spread across the surface of the planet faster than the herpes on Lohan’s twat!"

This song, describing a battle between a mideval Earth and Gwar was my inspiration for the book. It also helped me compose the Bands wargear and special rules

How are you handling magic spells, Chopper? Are they similar to the ones that Chaos sorcerors use?

Well, to keep things simple, I'm putting only 1 type of wizard (The Nekromancer) in the book. He knows 2 spells from the Lore of death and a special rule that acts like invocation of nehek without the ability to create new units and a preset number of gained wounds.

Pointswise they are just one man armies. I mean Skaven could really mob you up in the long term :/

I've seen some of it but not enough to make a good judgment. I find it a bit ridiculous you have infantry models as powerful stat-wise (toughness, strength and wounds) as say monsters. Some of this seems like a joke but some of the stuff seemed realistic.

....It is basically a joke.....and by infantry I hope and assume you are talking about the Lords Section, cause most of the infantry units (That aren't HQ) are basically your run-of-the-mill infantry with a few special rules and characteristics

The common regiments seem a bit overpowered. Like the skinks with t4, I mean skinks normally have t2, so why not make them cheaper and with worse characteristics..?

1....Their not actually skinks....I'm trying to be original with the characteristics, but I'm not gonna sculpt models just for a fan-made army done for the lulz....but if you see anything wrong with other units please do tell.

They're skinks on steroids during mating season . As long as i can have my super rats of stormvermin in fantasy i'm ok with that. I wonder how i would handle against your joke army. I probably wouldn't handle too well against it. It'd probably be a converter's fantasy army though.

Well as long as the points are suitably high enough to represent the high characteristics.
Also, FKM, I think Skaven are a strong army. No reason why they couldn't take anyone on...

Oh no doubt but i was wondering if this joke army was broken. So far though i've had some problems with empire and daemons though and orcs and goblins a bit (mostly night goblins) but i'm doing better if only i can get a game in. I've beaten lizardmen, ogres (previous army book), dwarfs and all sorts of other armies though. I want to face more elves and warriors of chaos. Fighting any fantasy army is fun though. I tend to hate fighting the same race though.

Hmmm, yes, when I was planning to play skaven I had chosen a skyre themed list with storm vermin forming the vanguard and 2 Warp Cannons supporting the advance....maybe I should find and post that list....
Oh, and 10 free internets to the first GWAR army list

That's valid i guess and i'd take warp lightning cannons but the problem is if you misfire it often has the worst results of any artillery. You either blow up, don't fire (best one probably) or fire in a random directly at maximum str 10, magical, d6 wound per hit and large blast. It might fire into the enemy but it could also fire down your battleline or shoot your screaming bell, hellpit, doomwheel or plague furnace to death with it. Honestly i probably wouldn't give a shit about the doomwheel but the rest are either my biggest hitters or most important units and having 2 cannons increases those chances. Also i don't see the point of the stupid plagueclaw catapult. Sure it's a large blast and goes through armor but it's only str 2. Against most armies which have toughness 3 or 4 and usually the strongest units which are toughness 4 that isn't going to do jack shit. Hell when i have to deal with knights what i do is toughness test them to death with censer bearers and the plague furnace or something. I may need more knight killers and jezzails would probably do the trick but it's hard to say. I don't think there are any boosts i can give to jezzails in shooting that'd help though unfortunately. It would be nice though. For now i think i'm fine though. If you want to handle knights you should usually charge them as their strength is really only good on the charge. Not that it'd matter against a huge ass unit with Ld 10 and re-rolls for morale from a BSB though.
Sorry i got sidetracked. Anyway warp lightning cannons can be really awesome but the strength is variable most of the time. It's a finicky weapon. If you choose any weapons teams go for warpfire throwers and avoid doom flayers like the plague. I got 2 because i liked the look and thought they might do ok but unless they charge with something or flank something they will usually die. Hell they usually die to most stand and shoot reactions anyway. They don't last very long and only have one wound even with +3 armor save (most of the time) and a +4 ward vs ranged attacks within 3" near the parent unit. Some people say ratling guns are good but i'd avoid them as they probably misfire the most and turn randomly at somebody plus ever since they used BS and stopped auto-hitting they started sucking (in my opinion or at least by looking at the stats). Poisoned wind mortars are ok as they wound anything on a +5 and go through armor and wound the center model on a +4 i think. It's a small blast template but i think it's best for knight killing and killing warriors of chaos. It fires like a stone thrower but is much better.
Stormvermin are alright but without boosts they suck so use magic to boost them or upgrade them to queek's special unit like i will. Lots of weapons teams can be ok. So yeah i hope you do ok with your list. If it's skryre themed i'd say go with plenty of weapons teams, warp lightning cannons, a doomwheel or two, jezzails for knight killing and a few sorcerors to boost those stormvermin.

Way too long post, FKM, just skimmed over it cause that would make my brain bleed. The skaven list i posted a bit ago was not my skyre list, btw.....
like i said, 10 free internets to the first list and 100 free internets to the person who play a game with them...
