Troops: Kabalite Warriors - 150 - Sybarite w/ Blast Pistol - Warrior w/ Blaster - 3x Warriors - Venom w/ 2x Splinter Cannons
This little unit, I think, has a lot of potential (I have four of them in my latest 1000-point list). Firstly, it's cheap. It's fast, it's relatively durable (thanks to the Flickerfield and the ease of fielding multiples) and it's composed of two sub-units that are each reasonably good at what they do. It's also a scoring unit.
However, what exactly is it good for? It doesn't exactly shine against armor (it'll kill a Russ or a Land Raider, but Ravagers are better for that), and while it'll hurt infantry, hordes are going to have the numbers to take its shooting attacks, and MEQs have the armor saves to probably avoid losing the entire squad after a single volley. It's not strong in close combat, and if it gets hit its performance will likely suffer dramatically.
Actually, this little shiner is fantastic against mechanized lists. The twin blasters with the Warriors can crack open the light armor most transports bring to bear so the Splinter Cannons on the Venom can get at the juicy bits inside. Running two of these in tandem can end up tearing an advancing transport column to shreds by taking out a few tactically significant targets (like the guys in front, restricting their movement), and then proceeding to pick apart the rest of the line.
I'm going to be testing these guys out in a game against Tau today, so I'll let you know how they worked out.
So, discuss!

Not necessarily. If you can isolate a single unit and blow the Slaanesh out of them, it's only a matter of time before the enemy loses. I know an Ork player who loves his deathstar unit of Ghazghkull with Cyborked Meganobz mounted in a Battlewagon, and I have a feeling that a couple of these would knock it out fairly quickly.

If he takes a unit like that, he deserves to be taken prisoner.... As soon as you knock out the battlewagon, that death star unit becomes a slug star unit...

My thoughts exactly. With the rest of my list, I'd have at least three options for cutting Ghazzie & Pals down to size once the Battlewagon's gone: spray 'em with splinters, lance 'em to death or send in the Wyches.

I think wyches are the more fun option out of those, and the most viable. This lances should be going towards popping the other trukks that will assuredly be accompanying the battle wagon, the splinter shower should be going into the horde. 10 wyches would decimate his 'star' unit... If only we still had Wych weapons...
