The extreme edge highlights need a little neatening, but otherwise it's a great colour combo. Nice one.

Ehh, you can't see it from a normal distance away, so it's fine...

Of course you can't, but your picture was so good that I'd say it anyway. If we're going by 3-4 feet away you don't need to bother with highlights at all. That's my usual guard principle on painting.

Indeed... However, knowing the guy I'm painting all these Sternguard he will most likely be all like 'OMG it's so cool' even if i did a mediocre job

Does he want them to be from different chapters?
It's a great idea - like a crusading army with lots of different marines in it.

It was my idea, actually. Most of the rest of his army dark blue and green, so I thought to myself, 'how to add colour and distinguish veterans from the rest'. And BAM, awesomeness ;D
