So I just finished Fallen Angels, by Mike Lee today. Took me 3 months or so, but I only read maximum 1/2 hour per day, these days. Initial thoughts - what kind of idiot are you, Lion El'Jonson? I mean, seriously who put you in charge..? I was rooting for Luther and the fallen Angels's mission bit, even though what they were trying to achieve was messed up. Tomorrow I'll start Nemesis, by James Swallow, and carry on the Horus Heresy theme..

I finished reading 'The Path of the Warrior' by Gav Thorpe I think... He did a brilliant job of capturing the eldar way of life... Freakishly well, actually.

Haven't even heard of that one. Because I'm sooo slow there's so much to catch up on, including about 3 more heresy books (at least - there's so many these days), Titanicus, Ice Guard, Eldar Prophecy, Faith and Fire, Warrior Coven, Dark Creed and Innocense Proves Nothing.
Other Gav Thorpe Books I've read are the Last Chancers series and Angels of Darkness; all of which I totally loved. Last Chancers rocked because Schaeffer was my fave special character in the 4th edition, even though I never used him in a game, despite having a decent Last Chancer squad.

I'm reading, 'A Thousand Sons' by Graham McNeill, one of the Horus heresy books, it's very insightful into the way of the thousands sons. One question though, in this book the armour they wear is mainly red with either black, blue or white trimming. My question is, when did they change to wear blue and gold? It may tell me later on but I would like to know now

I don't think that gets explained in a Thousand Sons.. Some Legions changed colours drastically. Some examples - space wolves dark grey in heresy, blue grey now ; dark angels black to dark green ; luna wolves>sons of horus> black legion ; word bearers dark grey to red ; thousand sons like you say.
It might be that Tzeentch's favourite colours are blue and gold; just a guess, though.

I WAS reading fear the alien until I reached the story Unity....that story caused me to lose interest in the book. Now I'm reading starship troopers and will pick up where i left off on Duty Calls after that

Fear the Alien is something I never even heard of.. Just goes to show how slooow I am at reading.. and painting. Dammit!
Commissar Cain books in general are brilliant; sometimes I wish there were more, even though pretty much every aspect of the 40k universe has been discussed in them.

I'm reading Rynn's World at the moment... The crimson fists are so up themselves, even after they just had more than half the chapter die around them...

Sounds OK. I just love Imperial Fist successors. In fact the whole Soul Drinker series is ingenious. Ben Counter is an excellent writer; admittedly Soul Drinkers was a lot better than Grey Knights, but there are weird moments in both books. Anyway - Cold and fast, Soul Drinkers!

I'll guarantee you'll want to make a SD army after treading the books. Everyone does. Luckily I controlled myself and only painted one techmarine purple.

I have experimented with purple armour... That was quite a while ago though, so I would be quite a bit better at it I'm going to finish Rynn's world today, then move on to Soul Drinkers...

Ok, I lied... I read Farseer, by William King... Was alright, but could have been better... now for the Soul Drinkers...

You read a book in 3 days? I've barely touched Nemesis; only a few pages in.

I tend to read extremely fast... It wasn't that big really...
In comparison, if I am doing nothing else it takes me 4 days approximately to read the LOTR trilogy... I usually ends up something more like 2 weeks because of all the stops for chores and such...

I could never get past the Tom Bombadill bits in LoTR, but wow! Very impressive, walrus. You have the makings of a Slaan overlord. I only read about 4 pages today and was distracted by people on the train, anyway. Have you seen those new 'Kindle' electronic book readers? I can't see myself buying one of those too soon.

The kindle is made by 'Amazon' and is an e-book reader. There are 2 variants, I think; one can connect to wireless internet networks. Hardly a 'data-slate'; an i-phone is more data-slatey.. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002Y27P46/?tag=googhydr-21&hvadid=6407748126&ref=pd_sl_3zzreglbfm_eAlthough my mate Nick reckons they're absolute rubbish and that you might as well get an i-Pad instead. I-Pads are much bigger, though and having played some Tekken style fighting game on his i-Pad, I'm going to endorse this. Even though i-Pads cost about 5 times more..

If the kindle malfunctioned, blew up or was snapped in half, you'd be gutted. All your ebooks down the drain..

I would have them backed up on the Internet somewhere though... I have multiple backups if all my digital things, if I didn't I would lose everything, because if my technological failures...

Instead of studying for tomorrow's math exam, I've hammered out some more of Chapter War...

Erm, yeah; you should be studying, dude.
As entertaining as Sarpeddon is, he'll never get you a job later in life. Wait; this means you've already finished THE OMNIBUS! (Crikey!) Did you like it, like you've never loved muhreens before??

I already read the Ultramarines series... that was alright.... I think I am either going to keep reading marine books or switch to a guard series after Sarpedon's exploits... Actually, come to think about it, I have read the one with necrons in it a fair few times, so I'll go read the Salamanders book... Unless you would suggest something better?
The math exam was stupidly easy, actually... tomorrow is Human Biology, then Chemistry in the afternoon... then FREEDOM! ;D

Wahey! Good luck for tomorrow.
Ultramarines was pretty disturbing. I'm sure I still have nightmares about Dead Sky, Black Sun. They are really trying to turn us into psychos, aren't they?
*cough!*
After Soul Drinkers you have to read Chapter War, the follow-on book.
